New Years Weekend

We celebrated New Years this year with our dear friends the Papa-Dakis family, Blanchard Family and the Sorden Family. You might ask yourself why there aren't any pictures of Tyler and I.... Well my poor husband had a migraine and went to the ER New Years Eve... Needles to say he had a cocktail of his own.

Better Late then Never

TPC SAWGRASS
In November Tyler and I were fortunate enough to get away together. And why would we choose any other place than TPC Sawgrass. Tyler and I are both Avid golfers. I have often been asked if he was the reason I golfed.... PLEASE I know this may surprise some of you but I DO have a mind of my own and have been golfing before Tyler and I got back together.
This was such an incredible vacation... We golfed, ate, slept (much needed with a 5 month old baby) and were able to enjoy each other. Tyler is my biggest fan in golf ( and really anything) and he's not afraid to show it. He is also my persoanl coach (which for some couples does not work) but for us it does. We played the stadium course twice and the Valley course once. This was a once in a lifetime vacation and one we will never forget.

Angels among us...
So i thought i couldn't feel any more gratitude for all that i am blessed with. That was until the Festival of trees.... I have never been but our good friends Mindy and Travis participate in this charitable event every year. Mindy donates her time, money and creativeness to decorate and dedicate her tree to someone she loves every year. You might think that it wouldn't be to difficult to decorate and donate a tree... Well that is where you are wrong.... Countless of hours go into preparing a tree for this event. Lights have to be wired to the tree, ornaments glued, and that is only the beginning. Mindy does all of this while juggling the scheduled of their 5 beautiful children. Last year Mindy and Travis dedicated their Silent Night themed tree to Landon's twin brother that was lost during her pregnancy.
Trav and Mindy you both are amazing, thank you for everything you bring into our lives.
Most trees are dedicated to survivors or a deceased loved one and their stories are posted next to the tree. I was drawn (of course) to all of the trees with pictures of small children. I couldn't imaging watching my baby suffer or be incubated with tubes coming from everywhere.. There was a survival story of twin boys who at birth weighed 15 oz. and no larger than a dollar bill. Unfortunately there were more dedicated to ones that have passed on than survivors.
All of the monies raised are donated to Primary Children's. For the past few years my sister and brother in law (Angie and Carson) have bid and purchased many trees. They have spent countless nights at the bedside of their children at Primary for one reason or another. We are so blessed to have them all Healthy!!
I have never cried for the loss and heartache for so many other people in that short period of time than i did last night... Needless to say when we got home i took Nixon out of his crib and snuggled him like crazy.. kissed him till he couldn't stand it any more... I am so grateful to be surrounded by so many loving and giving people.
I am so thankful for the health of my loved ones and friends..

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
My amazing family..
This is my beautiful cousin Madelyn who is 3 months older than i am... Needless to say i haven't missed any meals.
I have never been so grateful in my life than i am today. I want to start by thanking my Father in Heaven for Tyler. We have both said we would go through everything a million times over if it meant we would end up together. Tyler you are the most incredible husband, Father and best friend. I am ever so grateful for ALL of the time you spend not only with me but with Nixon. I love the way you light up when you get home from work not only to see me but to watch your son light up as well when he sees you. I am so very grateful for our beautiful son Nixon and the blessing he has been in our lives. I am so very grateful for our families and the relationships we have with all of you. I am so grateful for the many friends we are so blessed to have and all that you bring into our lives. i am so grateful my family is healthy. I am grateful for the amazing life Tyler provides for our family especially at a time that is so uncertain for so many. I could go on and on but i will save you the agony...
We spent Thanksgiving morning with my family bowling.. this has been a long time family tradition. we came home for an afternoon nap and headed over to my moms for dinner...
I hope you enjoy the photos.

Pool Day
Pool Time
Last month we were so lucky to have Allie and Jace in town from Houston!! JJ was not able to make it out because of work, but we are so excited to see him in November. I have a slide show of Nixon's first day at the pool with his Nana Chris, Aunt B, Uncle Andrew, Aunt Allie and cousins Jace and Bel. There got to be a time when Jace was so tired that he decided to relax on the cement(definitely my kind of relaxing ; ) ) Allie was able to get plenty of snuggle time in with Nixon!! that is until Jace wanted mommy and was not wanting to share her.
